Mother or Momprenuer?

Free Your Phire

“I want to be able to sit down inside of myself and feel this ease.”

— Ebonyjanice Moore.

Pursuit of my vision: As a youth, I didn’t want to be dependent.

Growing up, I wanted to own my individuality, and hold space for my community. In recent years, I have grown to listen to my intuition and found that joy is a powerful result. With all of the changes through the years, I have found that my passions have overlapped. My desire to make my own schedule, while following a love of creation, and pouring into developing minds has provided an opportunity to engage with what I know best. I have taken the opportunity to discover more about myself and what I have to offer.

  • Deeply re-igniting my creativity within my soul.
  • Reflecting on my relationship with love in mature and thoughtful ways.
  • Understanding habits that were more about serving the greed of others than the growth and love of myself.
  • The reality of being raised and conditioned to work and labor for profit, as opposed as to find the most meaningful answers to life’s burning questions hits everyday. What I have found to be most important, however, at this stage of life, is that my softness is strength for my family. My sense of humor is strength for my daughter, though it never made me feel strong. The ability to smile, laugh, and play is what gives my daughter the joy that lacks for many young people.

For the first four years of my daughter’s life I was at her beck n’ call. She could look up and I was right there.

This is the result of being a mompreneur. We are now taking steps toward cumulative learning, which includes me making more time to help her understand how to live at her best. How to be aware of the world around her. The future matters and if you are not pouring into a child of you own, there are plenty of children to pour into. Take some time and identify what that looks like for you.
